Salo
Bawat anggulo ng salo-salo.
A digital disposable camera for Philippine events. Guests scan the card on their table, get a handful of shots, and photograph the night from where they are sitting. Nobody sees anything until the host opens the album, and then everybody sees it at once.
It exists because the best photo from a wedding is usually not the one the photographer was standing in front of. One camera sees one angle; everyone else at the party is already holding a different one.
How it works
- 01No app and no account. Scanning the QR opens a web page, and that is the whole of it.
- 02A fixed number of shots per guest, set by the host's plan.
- 03No retakes and no deleting. One tap commits the photo.
- 04The cameras are open for a window, not forever.
- 05Nothing is visible to anyone until the host opens the album.
- 06The host sees every photo first and can drop any of them before the reveal.
- 07Photos are saved on the phone the instant the shutter fires, and upload when there is signal.
Your photos
A photo of a person is personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), and the person in it is the one who decides about it — not the host, and not us.
Before the album opens, only the host can see the photos. We do not publish any photo anywhere, we do not sell them or hand them to anyone else, and we do not use them to train anything.
Photos are deleted, and deleted permanently. Every plan says how long its gallery stays up — seven days on Libre, a year on Grand. When that time is up the album closes and stops being readable by anyone, including the host. The photographs themselves are then held for a further 30 days, so a host who missed the date can ask us to reopen the album. After those 30 days they are erased from our storage and cannot be recovered by the host, by us, or by anyone else. We keep no backup that outlives this: a copy that survived the deletion date would make the promise on this page untrue.
What we keep afterwards is the record that an event took place — its name and date, what it was sold for — because our accounts require it. That is not a photograph of anybody.
If you would rather your photos were not kept, tell the host of your event and they can remove them before the reveal, or write to us and we will delete them.
Where this stands
Salo is pre-launch and running free test events. The guest flow, the host board and the printable table cards are built and tested end to end, but it has not yet run at many real events, and nothing is on sale. If you are using it, you are helping us find out what breaks — thank you, genuinely.
